The Light of Agnes

A nonprofit serving the military family

Agnes V. Herrera passed away in 2022, and her son, Adrian reflected on the best way to remember her – and in 2023, he created a nonprofit in her name called “The Light of Agnes.”

Agnes, a military spouse herself, suffered from post-partum depression (PPD) after her third child.  Her husband immediately deployed, and could not cope with PPD and regressed into further mental illness.  The Light of Agnes was created in order to provide support for military families in the way that Agnes needed.

From Adrian: this nonprofit is a side hustle about something I’m extremely passionate about.  Please bear with me as I still work full time to build this organization out from the beginning!
